Farewell!

Two Weeks to Go
Last night we had our official farewell party, thankyou everyone that came to say goodbye, we will miss you all terribly! Had a great night.
Good news is the coffee machine can now come along, due to the purchase of a powerful inverter! Yay!
We are now down to last minute packing, such as the kitchen, which i cant touch until after Christmas. We are planning to leave either just before or just after new year.

Count down!

Only four weeks to go, we are well into packing with all non essentials boxed up. The shed has been cleaned out and the garage sale is set. Not alot of time considering Christmas is in there too. Everyone is very excited about the trip and cant wait to hit the road. Trying to work out what to pack into the van is the hardest part at the moment, with weight being a major consideration. Very distraught by the fact that the inverter wont run my coffee machine, almost had second thoughts about going because of this... not sure how i will cope without it!!

Maiden Voyage

Yesterday was my birthday so Lee booked the best table in town for dinner, which also happened to double up as our maiden voyage in the van. We got takeaway Thai and a birthday cake and headed up to the Sawtell Headland, pulled up opened the doors and windows and had dinner and a bottle of wine watching the waves. It was gorgeous. Amazing how you instantly feel a million miles away, was hard to come back home , the kids wanted to set up for the night and sleep in there. If it hadn't been for work and school (all that boring stuff) we probably would have. Never the less, maiden voyage a success!!

Farewell Party

We would love the chance to say goodbye to all our friends before we leave. Farewell party at our house on Saturday 18th December at 4pm, please bring either a plate of nibbles, salad or dessert and your own drinks. Hope you can come to see us off.

About Us

Hi, we are Lee, Julie, Jasmine (10) and Tyler (8). We have decided to take a long drive around Australia. We began researching vans straight away and quickly decided that the Jayco expanda was perfect for us. We were lucky to find a van fairly easily in great condition and with everything we needed. Our trip will begin with a three month stay in Elanora QLD with my sister to save a little extra cash, after attending a family wedding in April we will embark on the journey of a lifetime.
